Ok, you are on a search for a target. But you also want to know if somebody els of your galaxy tool has noticed something. Well when he does he can type in a notice. And guess what? you can search for it. Well it is easy with a picture to show:

Well it is very easy. Just type the word you want to search for and hit search. It will go to search the database for that word. If he finds something he will show them to you. (like shown above this text). If not it will says: 'no entries found'. And you must search for a other word. 

The words you should not search for are:

Here you can search within the whole galaxy database. The search capabilities are manifoldly.

====Start screen====
As you first enter the page. You will see this:

This is coming with the new version. There is now options to choose from when you are searching the database. When you are using only this you will get the names of the people that are in the alliance. Or the planets of the specific name. But there are advanced searches!

To show these options click one one of the orange things right under:

====Advance rank search====
Note: you can also search for debris fields in this search option. 
Now it is time to search by somebody his rank. The page is looking like:

As you can see you can search by many options. You can search by solar system. Or by rank. Or even by fleet rank. (Note: Research rank has nothing to do with your attacks, so that why it is '''not''' included). You can set the date for the time that the galaxy has entered. So you can have a target that is not that old and that you can know for sure it is still the same. 

You can also search the database for debris fields. This very handy when you got to many recyclers doing nothing. You can set them to a debris field to clean it. You can even set how many it must be before it is shown. This can be very handy when you need resources.

====Search for planets, moons and even more!====
You can open this window also with the other window (advance search for ranks) open. It is only coming open under the 'advance rank search' window. But it is no different when you open this one alone. It is looking like:

Now as you can see you enter much information here. You can search for planets that only has moons or that only has a notice in your galaxy tool database. Even you can search for a empty planet where you can colonizate your new planet. Very handy when you need a spot for a crash or just a planet.
 

When you want to attack somebody you can go for the player status. is it inactive? or is it a possible target. You can set it how he must search. When it does you get the possible targets for it. When it is inactive it is very handy for a farm or something like that. Because it is inactive.
 

The last option is searching in your database for a alliance. You can set many options for this one. It is very nady when you are searching for a alliance when you are in war with it. So you can find there planets easily.The options are: 
* NAP
* Allied
* War
* Boy cot
* Neutral
* Own alliance
* Wing 
Wow, that are some options you can choose from. Well when you want to search something you want to search it good! And not when you search that you get something else you wanted. Like when you are searching NAPs you only want search for NAPs not then that you will find some neutrals also. The last option is not that great option it is how many hits there must be shown after the search. ( I recommend '''20''' every page)

====How must it look like?====

Well when you are searching sometimes you want search by names. And there more then one name with the letter X. Well you can set here wich one is first. The letter A or Z. (ascending - descending). And the other options are actually the same.

====Result of al searches====

As a result you get information about: planet postions, moon and moon size (mouse over), debris field size, alliance name, player name, planet name, player status, date of the entry and an icon for notices and reports.

Installation

After downloading the file, you need to extract it. After that you will have to modify the config.php to suit your needs. You receive the required information for the database connection from your webhoster.
If the modification of your config.php is finished, you need to upload all files to your server. Start the install.php on your webserver by typing

http://address.of.your.webspace/path/to/galaxytool/install.php

in your browser and see what happens (of course with your specific address and path).
If there are any problems during the installation, you have to look what is wrong with your config.php!
After the installation you should delete the install.php and the update.php.
The attributes.php allows to modify the Galaxytool, but you don't need to change anything there.

Please note that special characters like ' are not allowed except for those already present there!

== config.php ==
Note you can find the file in: /secret/config.php

Go to your map where you have downloaded galaxy tool. (if you didn't downloaded it yet go to the download section on
our page.) In the map you will find the readme.txt and some more files (including install.php) Well first we are gone find config.php
you can find it in the map secret. Open in and then:

$dbusername = 'username';

Write the username for your MySQL database in the quotation marks (you get the username from your webhoster).

$dbpassword = 'password';

Write the password for your MySQL database in the quotation marks (you get the password from your webhoster, too).

$dbname = 'database';

Write the name of your MySQL database in the quotation marks (again, you get the name from your webhoster).

$dbtablename = 'galaxy';

Write the name of the galaxy table (all the data like planets and coordinates) in the quotation marks. It is recommended to use a significant name like u15_galaxy to know what the tables are used for if you look in your database.

$utablename = 'user';

Write the name of the user table (the users of the tool) in the quotation marks. It is recommended to use a significant name like u15_user to know what the tables are used for if you look in your database.

$pstablename = 'playerstats';

Write the name of the playerstats table in the quotation marks. It is recommended to use a significant name like u15_playerstats to know what the tables are used for if you look in your database.

$astablename = 'allystats';

Write the name of the allystats table in the quotation marks. It is recommended to use a significant name like u15_allystats to know what the tables are used for if you look in your database.

Now if you have edited config.php it is time to edit some stuff to give it a other look. Now in the same map (secret) there is a file
called attributes.php open in and we are gone chance some things:

$owner = 'yourname';

Write your alliance or OGame nickname in the quotation marks. It is shown at the login screen to show which tool you are using if you play in different univereses.

$maxshouts = 15;

This is the number of shouts shown in the shoutbox on the overview page. All shouts which are not shown are deleted!

$statspage = 100;

Number of entries at the statistics page. If you don't like to scroll down use a smaller number.

$email_from = 'email@provider.xxx';

Here you can add an email address which should be shown in the FROM field of registration emails. Put the address between quotation marks.
If someone registers himself at the galaxytool, an email is sent to this address showing that someone registered and needs to be activated.
If you want to disable registering, you have to delete the register.php file.

$default_language = 'english';

Write the default language for the tool in the quotation marks.
You can choose between: german, english, spanish, dutch, balkan, french, portugues, turkish, danish, italian and polish.

$default_charset = 'iso-8859-1';

This iso-code should work for most languages. If not - adjust it for your needs.

Modify the main menu

In this example the main menu gets an additional link to the OGame startpage.
If you like, you can add new links (e.g. to your alliance board) by adding a new entry.

The more links you add, the more complex the main menu will get.

After several requests to add links to ostat these links are integrated now.
You need to modify the ostat-server ("de" for german, or "org" for english universes).
You should always fill in the universe value, to help other users to know for which universe the tool is used. The universe is shown above the main menu if you have filled in a value.

This is an example for the english universe 25.

After downloading the file, you need to extract it. After that you will have to modify the config.php to suit your needs. You receive the required information for the database connection from your webhoster.
If the modification of your config.php is finished, you need to upload all files to your server. Start the install.php on your webserver by typing

http://address.of.your.webspace/path/to/galaxytool/install.php

in your browser and see what happens (of course with your specific address and path).
If there are any problems during the installation, you have to look what is wrong with your config.php!
After the installation you should delete the install.php and the update.php.
The attributes.php allows to modify the Galaxytool, but you don't need to change anything there.

Please note that special characters like ' are not allowed except for those already present there!

== /secret/config.php ==
Go to your map where you have downloaded galaxy tool. (if you didn't downloaded it yet go to the download section on
our page.) In the map you will find the readme.txt and some more files (including install.php) Well first we are gone find config.php
you can find it in the map secret. Open in and then:

Write the username for your MySQL database in the quotation marks (you get the username from your webhoster).

Number of entries at the statistics page. If you don't like to scroll down use a smaller number.

$email_from = 'email@provider.xxx';

Here you can add an email address which should be shown in the FROM field of registration emails. Put the address between quotation marks.
If someone registers himself at the galaxytool, an email is sent to this address showing that someone registered and needs to be activated.
If you want to disable registering, you have to delete the register.php file.

$default_language = 'english';

Write the default language for the tool in the quotation marks.
You can choose between: german, english, spanish, dutch, balkan, french, portugues, turkish, danish, italian and polish.

$default_charset = 'iso-8859-1';

This iso-code should work for most languages. If not - adjust it for your needs.
