new galaxytool version

Hi all,

I wrote a new version of the galaxytool which is ready for bugfixing and translations. I need YOU to translate the language file to one of the still not completely translated languages:

- dutch
- french
- balkan
- poland
- italian
- turkish
- danish

After translating the language files and providing the name of the new ship (battleship) you are invited to test the new version for your language. I hope there are a lot of people who want the new version also for their language.

Important!

Dear Ogamers, the GameForge (the owner of Ogame) plans to introduce so called officers. There shall be 4 of them for 2,99€ per month, and you can buy 1, 2, 3 or all 4:

10% higher production of mines
+2 espionage technology and 25% faster research
85% defense rebuild after an attack
+2 fleet slots

In Portugal and Ogame.org they are already online for testing. So please help us to keep Ogame without fee, visit your local Ogame board and vote.

ThePatriot

There are currently two version of ogame available which have incompatible changes. So version 0.76 won't work with the galaxytool if you do not change some parts for this: fix instructions

What is the Galaxytool ?

The Galaxytool is a stand-alone tool for Ogame ©. It allows players or alliances to create and manage an image of their universe.

With this tool they can get information which ogame does not give them directly.

A list of all search capabilities:

   * search for alliance tags
   * search for playernames
   * search only planets with moon
   * search only planets with notices
   * search only planets with espionage reports
   * search only planets for colonisation from position X to position Y
   * restrictions for galaxy or systems
   * only show entries which are newer / older than a specific date
   * only show entries which have more than X metal, Y crystal or Z of both in its debris field
   * capability to choose the sort order
   * search for player status - inactive, banned or vacation mode
   * search for players in the top X (score or fleet)
   * parameter to select how many entries should be shown on each site
   * mark alliances as enemy, friend, wing ally and many more
   * update your data with the firefox toolbar
   * sort the statistics as you like
   * integrated registration process
   * get a new password with email if you lost it (needs email support at your webserver)
   * detailed user information to show who is very busy or who is sharing his account
   * shoutbox for internal communication
   * and many more ...

Legality

This tool is absolutely rule-consistent because it never uses resources or other things from ogame directly! We asked people from the ogame staff directly if the tool and the toolbar are 100% rule-consistent - and they ARE!

The player / alliance has to update the information manually.

But this can be done very comfortable with copy and paste of the required information (galaxy view or espionage report). Then pasting the data in a text area of that tool and thats all. The tool will do the rest and analyze the data and its content to make it searchable.

But where does one go to get it?
